Olde Brick House At one time, Western North Carolina was dotted with small textile mills. Since 2008, the Olde Brick House has been proudly offering throws, table runners, placemats, coverlets, blankets, pillow cases, and accessory pillows produced by one of the last surviving family owned U.S. textile mills. Preserving the tradition of early textile practices of homespun woven goods, the working museum painstakingly weaves patterns dating back to the 18th century producing primitive details in beautiful textiles: woven in-not stamped on-with individually dyed threads. Examples of the craftsmanship produced by this PA textile mill are displayed in numerous homes of Williamsburg, VA. Hollywood has also called upon the mill to produce fabrics for numerous movies including Cold Mountain, Gods and Generals & most recently; Hateful Eight. Bring the craftsmanship of this USA mill to your home. Visit Olde Brick House today. 66 N Main St 828-452-4880 Mon-Sat 10-5:30.
