Wed, 20-Fri, 22 - Downtown Waynesville hosts the NC Main Street Managers fall meeting. Guests from across the state will converge downtown for three days for meetings, shopping, eating and playing. Managers will have badges identifying themselves for discounts, etc.
Friday, 22 - 5th annual MAIN STREET MILE - Race participants hit the pavement running! First race starts at 6:30pm, one mile south of the Historic Courthouse area. Enjoy a huge award ceremony post-race party immediately after the last heat at the UCBank parking lot on Main Street.
Saturday, 30, 7pm - Kids on Main Children’s Activity Hour, 6-7pm.

Friends of the Smokies

Guided hikes in Great Smoky Mountains National Park feature interpretation and leadership by celebrated outdoor author, blogger, and hiking expert, Danny Bernstein. Each hike highlights an achievement or cause Friends of the Smokies has supported in the Park. Full day hikes are on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. To support the Smokies Trails Forever program, a donation of $10 for members and $35 for non-members is requested. Non-members receive a complimentary 1-year membership to Friends of the Smokies on their first hike. Members who bring a friend hike for free.
